About Thumbprint Cares

Founded in 2017 by Joanna Edwards, Thumbprint Cares, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering underserved communities, advancing economic mobility, and creating pathways to generational wealth.

Our mission is to “Empower urban communities and action-driven individuals to actively close the wealth gap through financial literacy, homeownership, and service, one thumbprint at a time.”

Through intentional programming, educational workshops, strategic partnerships, and community-based initiatives, we equip individuals and families with the knowledge, resources, and opportunities needed to build financial stability and achieve long-term success.

 

Our programs focus on three core pillars: Financial Literacy & Wealth Building, Homeownership & Economic Empowerment, and Community Engagement & Service. From financial education and homeownership readiness to youth development and community outreach, our initiatives are designed to address immediate needs while creating sustainable opportunities for future generations.
